Mausoleum-madrassah of Akhun Baba
The mausoleum-medrasah of Akhun Baba is located in the southern part of the ancient necropolis, 2.1 kilometers northeast of the village of Talkhatan Baba, 19.7 kilometers southeast of the village of Murgap, 23 kilometers south of the city of Bayramali, 15 kilometers to the west and slightly south of the village of Turkmenkala, 182 meters from the Mary-Yoloten highway in the Yoloten etrap of the Mary velayat.
A unique monument of Turkmen architecture is the Khojageldy Akhun Madrasah, 7.1 kilometers from the Talkhatan Baba Mosque, which is popularly called Kyrk Gumbez (forty domes). Khojageldy Akhun, who lived in the 19th century, was a famous educator and taught children to read and write.
